The central maxims of the Halbmond Teppichwerke have always included readiness for innovation and technological development. Already in 1968, a 1-metre-spray pressure system was commissioned in Oelsnitz whose patent was sold to the US in 1971. Then, in 1974, there was the international premiere of the large-template-pressure-system at Halbmond. In 1994, after the re-privatisation, considerable investment was made for an even more efficient production by installing the first ChromoJet-spray pressure system. This computer-controlled machine enables printing individual designs on carpets in a wide variety of colours.
Since then, Halbmond has continuously invested in state-of-the-art technology in order to meet the customers’ highest expectations.
In 2008, a ChromoJet-printing machine with the latest generation of nozzles was commissioned. At this time, this had been the most modern system world-wide. The ChromoJet-system achieves an even more detailed print image and enables the use of up to 24 colours per design. In 2012, Halbmond invested in a 2-metre-Chromojet-system in order to be able to react to customer specifications in an even more flexible way and to print on materials other than carpet, too.
